Contact is Go!

Contact is a working festival of innovation where the net’s leading minds and entrepreneurs can connect with the people who are building the social technologies of tomorrow. The net of the future will not be fueled by ads, but by people solving real problems through distributed, peer-to-peer solutions. This is the dormant promise of the Internet, finally coming to fruition.

I’m going to be at the ContactCon Bazaar today, running mini interviews & chatting with people about WTF they think digital culture is. Apparently my table is going to be “on the left side of the wall when you are facing the stage”… so if you’re there, come find me. I’ll be the one encouraging you to do the talking :) And if you’re NOT there then why not connect through the twitter stream #contactcon or even better, head to one of the global meetups.

Big thanks to Doug Rushkoff, the man behind the event, someone I’ve been fortunate enough to play with before, and the reason I’m in New York right now. Lucky me!

Oh… did I mention there are also three $10,000 awards up for grabs? No? Well, there are. So I guess I’ll have to be on my best behaviour, won’t I?! Wish me luck…
